Bankrupting our Country
The rescue and bailout program being sought by this administration is starting down a path of creating a corporate welfare program that closely resembles exactly how this country turned the black population and single mothers into a welfare society by making it more unfavorable for them to work than draw welfare. Over time this will completely bankrupt our country and will strip the next generation of their freedoms.
Restricting the incomes of the companies executives is the first step in nationalizing our country. The next step is to do "means testing" on healthy corporations. and the final step is to take over these companies.
At first I thought that the new administration found an opportunity lying open to their hands, untouched and undefiled. Here for the first time a new president had the opportunity to build a great future, to make a new world built on all of our natural wealth, a world of democracy and freedom.
We thought Obama had a vision, but instead, he is leading a group that has come to swarm over the land like locust, ripping its treasures from the earth, defiling its streams with silt, tearing down the forests and then moving on to desolate new lands. All of it in a wild, desperate driving greed, the urge to get while the getting is good.
In the short view we thought that there was much good in this freedom trek for change, but in the long view it is once again only a mad rush of greed and rapine, the lust of men who ripped the wealth from the country and then will desert it. Every desire to conserve, to repair the damage to our financial system or halt the blind looting of natural wealth is being fought bitterly as an attack upon human rights. Bull!
When these appointees were in the Clinton Administration they skimmed the surface clean, now these coyotes and buzzards are back here to take the scraps from our bones.
They have never once thought about the generations to come that would be hungry for the same rights as we, rather, they are like a young man who inherits a fortune, these people are spending our birthright in a wild orgy of finance and greed, heedless of the years to come.
They are spending our capital without thinking that someday there has to be an end.
What a sad ending to what once looked so promising. Once again our country is being looted but this time we may not be able to survive.
