Althetic Water Workout

DSCF0009 A personal watercaft without noise, bone-crushing waves and blinding water-spray may not sound like much fun, but you could be surprisingly pleased with your decision. While possibly rating lower on your thrill meter, the adventures on a HydroBike can have offsetting pleasures for the althetic water enthusiast seeking a good acrobic workout.

Hydrobikes, a fun alternative to boats, kayaks, paddle boats, fast pedal boats,
water toys, lake toys, small fishing boats, personal water craft.

Sleeking into a haven at sunset or first light of day and silently observing waterfowl and movements of the deep with less disturbance than that of a paddle, gives both pleasure to the soul and a feeling of one with nature.

Yet, comfortably perched on the seat of your HydroBike, your visibility is greater than in a canoe, or kayak and there is less chance of a backache, cramped legs or a spill. Therefore, street clothes can be worn without fear of getting wet.

Totally portable, this 10-foot lightweight craft can fit into most mini-vans, and SUV's. One person can assemble and dissassemble the unit without any tools, and slip it into the water at almost any location. It is ideal for narrow or shallow water and operates in less than one foot of water.

If the drive train encounters rocks or sand, it automatically pivots up and over the obstacle. You can even pedel right up onto the beach without damaging the propeller or rudder. The hydrobike is appropriately named the Explorer" and is available in both single and 2-person configurations.

*****LifeTime Guarantee on the motor*****
Traveling at a norma speed of 3-5 miles an hour, this is not a boring slow paddleboat. Peak speeds can reach as high as 10 miles per hour, if your motor is properly conditioned. Did I mention "you" are the motor?

Propeller of Hydrobike The hydrobike's computer-designed propulsion system features a 90% efficient propeller with full camber and twist. The lower drive train is sealed watertight, providing protection even in salty seawater. Only the chain requires annual maintenance with an environmentally friendly lubricant.

Keeping fit was never so easy and so much fun. Designed for the free spirit from 8 to 80 years of age, the human powered motor lasts a lifetime, as long as you can make it to a lake, river, bay or ocean. Engineered for a safe reliable ride, the 55" wide unit is surprisingly smooth riding in choppy water and is exceptionally seaworthy, even in a 5-foot ocean swell.

*****Fishing for compliments*****
In fact, because of it's unique stability, the hydrobike makes an ideal platform from which to fly-cast into your favorite fishing hole. A special fishing rod holder has been molded into the body of the bike, along with a spot for your favorite beverage and a compartment for clothes or fishing gear. Cast your line out and slowly troll along with the quietest motor on the water.

But, your hydrobike does not have to be all peace and quiet. With its 400 pound rider and cargo capacity, it is stable enough to dive from and can quickly convert into a swim platform for all the kids in the neighborhood, you included. While it has been manufactured for over 13 years, it is still a showstopper and a great conversation piece.

It is a great ice-breaker for meeting new acquaintances at marinas. They love the feel of the bike and can't quite believe how easy it is to peddle and maneuver. If you want off-the-road biking, this craft is the ultimate in peace and tranquility.

*****Converts to a Duck Blind*****
There are many accessories available for the craft, the most unique being a popup duck blind that surrounds the cycle or platform seat. Just imagine how many times you wish you could just move your blind over a few yards for a better shot.

Kids seats are also available, but most like to ride comfortably on the consol in front of mom or dad. Should you want to take a ride after dark, running navational lights are also available. WaterStates Trading Company has a long list of accessories in design at the factory and could probably add your favorite idea without a great deal of added expense.

The craft makes an ideal dingy subsitute. espically when your sea legs could use some exercise. Towing harnesses are available for houseboats, cruisers, and sailboats, and the total weight of only 125 pounds for a single unit and 211 pounds for a dual bike; they can easily be supended from a davit.

Additional information and costs associated can be obtained by contacting WaterStates Trading Company at www.waterstates.com or by email waterstates@comcast.net
